June 22nd 2012 Detroit Tigers vs. Pittsburgh Pirates PNC Park Pittsburgh, PA

Today was one of my worst days ever at the Ballpark. I was only able to snag 1 Baseball during BP and it was via the Glove Trick. I missed the majority of BP because I was running thru an aisle and ran directly into a seat that was down. I made my first visit to the PNC Park First Aid Station as a result. The diagnosis was a dislocated patella. However, I don’t think the injury is that serious. I do plan on putting myself on the 7-Day DL though.

20120623-135722.jpg The “Theme of Today” was AwNaw by Nappy Roots. Would I get shut out during BP? AwNaw. Would I be able to snag a few balls via the Glove Trick without be interfered with by a coach or player? AwNaw. Would I meet my goal of 7? AwNaw. Would I make it through BP without being injured? AwNaw. Finally, would I be able to snag another Game Home Run on Back to Back nights? AwNaw.

20120623-140437.jpg I come prepared. Giant Glove gets the Player’s Attention… Insignia Caliente for Catching Home Runs on the Fly… Black Adidas for Glove Tricks. Catchers Mitt for Toss Ups from Pitchers. Rocco from Cincy informed me that Pitchers love to throw into a Catchers Mitt.

20120623-142000.jpg Unfortunately, there were no Home Runs that left PNC Park tonight. I recently discovered something called ESPN Hit Tracker. I’ve noticed that it is VERY RARE for a ball to actually leave PNC Park. I’m going to say an average of 5 balls leave PNC Park each season. I’ve also noticed an overwhelming number of “Band-Wagon” Fans attending games recently. The seats in Right Field as well as the Left Field Bleachers and SRO Areas are also packed like Sardines in a Can.

20120623-142654.jpg I will still come inside PNC Park for BP. However, I will be spending my time during the games on the River Walk where I believe I have the best shot of catching a Home Run.

20120623-143346.jpg I guess that’s all for today. Pirates 4, Tigers 1. Ballhawk Rick 1 and a banged up knee.

I am going to Pittsburgh on Friday and I was just wondering if you could hook me up with season ticket passes for batting practice. My friend Quinn told me to ask you. Thanks!
